At this year’s BUILDING BLOCKS Insights event, hundreds of Year 5 students were met with a burst of energy from Mi-box Live, a game that transforms the way we think about maths.

Leading the way with a unique LEGO ‘serious play’ workshop at this year’s BUILDING BLOCKS Insights event was RTC North, a business support and innovation organisation based at Newcastle Helix.

Lighting up the room (literally) with LED coding workshops at BUILDING BLOCKS Insights, Altitude Foundation are passionate about inspiring the next generation of tech talent and showing them what is possible.

A groundbreaking event, returning for its biggest year yet, saw hundreds of North East primary school children take a special trip to the North East innovation district of Newcastle Helix, for two whole days of learning, play and inspiration.

Helix is a beacon for the transfer of knowledge between academics, industry, the public sector and wider public. There are hundreds of SMEs based on-site and thousands of students working alongside global businesses at the cutting edge of sectors like renewables, life sciences, data, and ageing.

The region’s most innovative individuals and organisations were out in full force for the Lights, Camera, Brunch! event at Newcastle Helix earlier this month.
